Hi everyone!
My name is Taylor Campbell, and I am currently a senior here at UWGB. I am a Communications major, with a triple emphasis in Journalism, Mass Media and Public Relations; as well as a minor in Spanish and Latin American studies. Career wise, my dream job is to be a Sportscaster and if I am able to specify, I would love to specialize in hockey (NHL). In an effort to further this dream, I am currently the sports reporter for the Fourth Estate. I have also done some work with ESPN, and will be interning with Time Warner Cable Sports as their summer reporter. I am from the Milwaukee area, so I love the Brewers, Admirals, Bucks, you name it. I also love spending time at the Public Market in the Third Ward and exercising at the Lakefront. I am very excited for this class because I think it will give me a really well rounded understanding of journalism and how to adapt to different situations professionally.
Triple emphasis? You go girl! That is really cool that you have done some work with ESPN and that is a great "foot in the door." It sounds like you have lots of opportunities lined up to make you the best sportscaster you can be. I think this class definitely will help with your writing.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, thank you so much! I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given! I think you're definitely right about this class helping, I'm excited to learn more and read your news stories!
ReplyDeleteThis is super amazing how involved you are. It keeps you busy and as long as you are doing what you love, it's even better.
ReplyDeleteI give you props for that triple emphasis and I believe you will be a fantastic sportscaster. Unique career goal btw.
Also, love your blog.
Thank you Veronica! I was worried at first about having too much to balance but I have found that I love each of the courses in every area of emphasis I have chosen, which makes it all worth it to me. I can't wait to read more of your stories!
